The Technical Paper provides students with an opportunity for professional development.

 

The Technical Paper is worth 25% of the overall score in the competition.

 

Within the paper, we explain the logistics, statistics, economics, and project management behind the project.

 

We also describe the details involving choice of theme, the hull design, a breakdown of ingredients in our mix design, structural analysis, and our construction procedure.

Presentation

The Aesthetics team works to envision and realize our theme for the Final Product.

 

The Final Product is worth 25% of the overall score in the competition.

 

They work closely with the Construction team on the Main Display, the Canoe Stand, and the Cut Out Display. 

 

The Aesthetics team is also responsible for the visual appeal of our concrete canoe, including the lettering, and artwork.

The Formal Presentation is worth 25% of the overall score in the competition.

 

The presentation team must not only thoroughly explain the design-build process of our concrete canoe, but they must also captivate the judges with an informative, and visually appealing presentation.

 

After the presentation, the judges may ask questions related to the Concrete Canoe project. Presenters must answer the questions accordingly in order to achieve the highest score.
