

Concrete Canoe Competition
Every year, since 1988, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) hosts a National Concrete Canoe Competition for Civil Engineering undergraduates. Cal Poly Pomona students have been competing and succeeding in this competition since they began participating in 1993.
The competition is broken into four parts, each worth 25% of the overall score:
- Paddling
- Oral Presentation
- Technical Paper
- Final Product.
